This is my cat, Maddi. She was born during January 2008. I have had brain surgery three times during the last five years, and when I have returned home Maddi looks at me like I am the most important person in the world with plenty of compassion, and warmth, too.

Christmas Day Lunch 2025

Christmas lunch by my mother was spectacular! Crumbed prawns, crumbed scallops, fillet of beef with red win jus and potatoes, sliced ham, and pavlova for dessert. It was a lovely day, and the food was incredible!

Gerd Obertopp

Gerd Obertopp was the company General Manager of Hannover Re Australasia for over ten years. When I was first discharged from hospital, and returned to work in 2020, he took me to lunch at an expensive, fancy restaurant, and treated me to a wholesome, delicious meal, which I'll always be grateful for. During his tenure he made many strategic and wise decisions that made Hannover a major player in the Australasian reinsurance market. He has announced his retirement, and he will be missed by many people.
